TITLE: - Revealing Elegance: A Comprehensive Guide To Wearing A Saree

Introduction :-

An iconic Indian garment known for its versatility and timeless elegance is the saree. Saris can be worn in many different ways to reflect India's diverse cultural backgrounds and bring out the best in the wearer. The technique of wearing a saree may seem difficult, but with time and effort, anyone can master it. In this blog, we'll walk you through the steps of donning a saree so that you feel elegant and self-assured with each drape.

Selecting the Right Saree:-

First, choose a saree that suits your personal style and occasion. Think about what fabrics, colors and designs would suit your tastes and the event you plan to attend.

Mandatory accessories:-

Stock up on the necessary accessories to complete your saree ensemble. This usually includes a blouse (matching or contrasting with the saree), petticoat (underskirt), safety pins, bobby pins, and heels or ballet flats.

Prepare the petticoat:

Wear petticoats that fit or complement the saree. Make sure the drawstring is securely fastened around your waist, allowing for easy movement and a comfortable drape.

Start drape:-

Take the inner edge (pallu) of the saree and tuck it into the petticoat just to the right of the navel. Make sure the length of the saree is appropriate to achieve the desired drape.

Make a crease:-

Hold the sari fabric about 6 to 9 inches from the folded edge. First, make a clean, even fold (usually 5-7) about 5-6 inches wide. Once you have the pleats, tuck them into the petticoat band just to the left of your navel. Adjust so that the pleats fall evenly and beautifully.

Drape the pallu:-

Take the rest of the cloth (pallu) from the other side and drape it over your left shoulder and over your chest. Let the pallu dangle behind your back, flow down your arm, or style it however you like. You can also pin the pallu in place or fold it neatly for an elegant look.

Finish:-

Check the length of the saree to see if it reaches the floor elegantly. Adjust so that the pleats are evenly spaced and neither too tight nor too loose. If necessary, secure waist pleats, pallu, and pleats discreetly with safety pins. Take a moment to admire yourself in her mirror and make sure you feel comfortable and confident in your saree.

Styling Tips:-

Experiment with different draping styles such as Gujarati, Bengali and Nivi drapes to add variety to your saree collection. Additionally, you can accessorize the saree with statement jewellery, bindi (forehead jewellery) and stylish clutch to enhance the overall look.

Conclusion:-

Wearing a saree is an art that celebrates femininity and tradition. With practice and attention to detail, you can easily drape a saree that accentuates your beauty and exudes elegance. Choose a saree that suits your style, pay attention to the folds and experiment with different styles of drape. Enjoy the elegance of this timeless garment and let your inner diva shine as Sally shines in her ensemble.
